Trade Tastings for DO Valencia in London and Dublin
Hispanic organised the DO Valencia UK and Republic of Ireland tastings for the third year running. The tastings took place at the Andaz Hotel, Liverpool Street London and the Merrion Hotel, Dublin in November. 12 wineries from the Valencia region took part, many new to the UK market. Both these events were by invitation only and these were accepted by over 100 top importers, distributors, buyers, sommeliers and media. Three importers and distributors now import wines discovered at this event.

Republic of Ireland DO Rueda Tasting
Working with the Chamber of Commerce of Valladolid and the DO Rueda, Hispanic organised an intimate tasting over lunch at the well known restaurant Patrick Guilbaud in the centre of Dublin in April 2009. The event was attended by 6 journalists, 24 reporters and a representative of the Irish Wine Board meeting with 9 DO Rueda wineries. News of the event hit blogs and twitter pages the next morning and many of the importers followed with the producers. Several wines introduced at this tasting are now available at retail outlets in the Republic of Ireland.

Hispanic and UK and Republic of Ireland Wine Markets
Gerald Lawson-Tancred, Director of Hispanic Limited, has been invited by the Chamber of Commerce of Valencia and the Chamber of Commerce of Navarra to give seminars on the UK and Republic of Ireland wine markets to regional companies. Gerald has worked closely with both Chambers for many years, promoting their wines and other products to the UK and Republic of Ireland.
